MEET DJ CLARENCE
What’s your favorite part about DJing weddings?
Helping the couple’s dream day come true and making sure their family/guests enjoyed themselves through every aspect of the special day.
Why do you think someone should hire you to DJ their wedding?
I feel that with over 20 plus years of experience in the wedding industry would allow the wedding couple to feel comfortable in selecting me to be a part of their big day. I let them know that I will be there every step of the way and my line is always open for communication. This is key because there are always changes & adjustments all the way up to the start of the ceremony. Regardless if there is a planner for the wedding, I will always communicate the timeline & flow of the evening.
How would you describe your MC style?
Very laid back, never overshadowing the bride & groom. Making only the necessary announcements at the appropriate times.
How do you like to keep the dance floor rockin’ all night?
My secret to keeping the dance floor alive is a combination of strategic song placement and dynamic mixing. I don't just hit play; I live-mix, blending tracks to create a continuous flow that builds momentum. I start with familiar crowd-pleasers to get everyone comfortable, then I strategically weave in those unexpected throwbacks or new hits that ignite specific groups. I thrive on those moments of surprise and delight. I also pay close attention to the energy on the floor – if a song isn't landing, I'm ready to pivot instantly. It's all about keeping the energy high, the transitions smooth, and the good times rolling until the very last note!
